USA – the land of opportunity. Giving a short description of a land this big and this diverse is a challenge. Each one of the 50 states has something unique to offer. Not just the obvious climate difference you will get when studying English in e.g. Florida as compared to Alaska but also subculture and landscape.

Many famous sights are located in this country e.g. Statue of Liberty, Gran Canyon, Mount Rushmore, Rocky Mountains, Golden Bridge just to name a few. However, the sights are just a small part of the whole experience. No words can truly explain the feeling of “a New York minute”, “Gettin’ Jiggy wit it” in Miami, Gambling in Las Vegas, Wild West in Texas, Elite student atmosphere in Boston, liberal individualism in San Francisco, health and beauty perception in Los Angeles and being present in the super power capital Washington DC.

Although the country itself is relatively young its international influence is substantial when it comes to e.g. lifestyle and politics. Everybody has an opinion about the American people but as a famous person once said: “The first condition of understanding a foreign country is to smell it".
